Make Spirits Bright This Holiday Season

It is heartbreaking to see your neighbors struggle with hunger and housing challenges, especially during the holiday season.  Donate today so that ALL are able to have food on the table and a roof overhead in greater North Seattle.  When you give, you strengthen your community and serve your neighbors.

Strengthening your community means taking action and responding to neighbors like Lana, who depend on the food bank.  After years of debilitating health problems, Lana was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and leukemia.  She feared becoming homeless.  Lana kept a roof overhead thanks to her own resourcefulness, North Helpline’s financial assistance, and the network of human services in greater North Seattle.  Every week, Lana visits the food bank with her caregiver, Singh.  Lana says, “I am not going to eat without this help.  Most of my food comes from the food bank.”  She welcomes the sense of togetherness she feels at North Helpline.

This holiday season, the first priority for each of your neighbors is food on the table and warmth in their homes.  Neighbors like Lana can turn to the food bank and our financial assistance program at North Helpline to meet those needs.  Your generosity is part of our community’s tradition of making sure our neighbors are cared for and have somewhere to turn.

Your commitment to your neighbors is even more necessary with the cold and rainy weather that is upon us.  Together with the community, you help people to stay in their homes and feed their families.   We are grateful that donors like you are invested in responding to neighbors with acute or ongoing challenges, such as people experiencing homelessness.

While the task of addressing homelessness and the affordable housing crisis is complex, we are responsible for taking action now to help people stay in their homes.  To this end, we continue to give funds to assist our neighbors to prevent eviction and utility shut off, and we work to expand this vital program in greater North Seattle.

When you donate, North Helpline’s mission comes to life, because ALL deserve adequate food, housing, and respect.  Your generosity achieves enduring results.

  • 500 helps prevent utility shut off for three families
  • $250 can fuel our grocery rescue vans for two months
  • $150 helps bring groceries to people who are homebound
  • $75 can feed a family for a week
  • Other amount: please give a gift that is personally meaningful to you.

Donate today to strengthen your community and help make spirits a bit brighter this holiday season.
