Pronouns: He/Him

Chris, a dual citizen of Ireland and the United States, lived near London as a child. As an adult, he lived for over five years in the UK and Belgium, where he learned French.

His volunteer work at food banks began about five years ago at organizations such as Food Lifeline and SeaMar’s food distribution center in Burien.

Chris’ affiliation with North Helpline started during the pandemic, working “pretty much everything in the distribution and warehouse areas” at the Lake City food distribution center.

He decided to apply for a position on North Helpline’s board after hearing of plans to expand it.

His interest comes in part from what he sees the organization standing for. “I think they do a really good job of all their community services — hygienic products, helping with rent and medical care” as well as food distribution.

Chris was a Kellogg School of Management Executive Scholar at Northwestern University and earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Marquette University.

He works as senior director of communications for Windows + Devices at Microsoft.

His hobbies include sailboating, which he said he enjoys every time there’s nice weather, and in the winter, skiing.
