Claire Schwochow

STAFF

Food Access Manager, Lake City

Pronouns: She/Her

Claire came to North Helpline as a volunteer doing box packaging for the home food delivery program in April 2022. When a staff position as home delivery coordinator  opened five months later, she was eager to join the organization.

“I’ve been getting more into nonprofit work and community outreach,” she said. “This was a great opportunity to learn how it works, learn more about my community and how to give back.”

She said sometimes neighbors receiving the food deliveries will give her a call. “Everyone seems really appreciative. It’s really nice to be able to work with them.”

Claire attended Western Washington University and University of Washington, studying Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior with a minor in Creative Writing. She would love to write a fantasy series one day.
