Lisa Ferguson

BOARD

Secretary

Pronouns: She/Her

Lisa participated in two study abroad programs in French and Mandarin and completed  intense Mandarin coursework at National Taiwan University. Her masters degree is from The Johns Hopkins University – Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.

After four years at Amazon, she now works as a senior manager at Fanatics, Inc. in Seattle.

Even though her work in supply chain social responsibility involves “trying to improve people’s lives around the world,” she is looking to dedicate more time to engaging with the local community as well.

Lisa began researching local organizations she might volunteer with and learned about North Helpline. “It was eye-opening  to see the wide diversity of people in need in the community,” she said.

She began volunteering in food sorting and distribution in the fall of 2020. She decided to apply for a position on its board because she felt her training and skills could be useful to the organization. She began serving on the board in the summer of 2022.

Lisa said she’s excited about the opportunity to develop more partners in the community and using technology to measure the organization’s impact and get feedback “from the people we serve.”
